Narelda Jacobs OAM is a Whadjuk Noongar journalist, presenter, commentator, MC and keynote speaker. Her career at Network 10 has spanned more than two decades, starting in the Perth newsroom in 2000 before heading to Sydney in January 2020 to co-host Studio 10 and present national news bulletins 10 News First: Lunchtime, and 10 News First: Afternoons. Narelda currently presents Channel 10's weekend bulletin live and local in Perth. In 2023, Narelda was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (General Division) for her services to the media and to the community.
Narelda is an NITV and SBS regular, having co-hosted The Point, Going Places with Ernie Dingo, and the network’s January 26 coverage. In 2024, Narelda hosted a tv special, the Big Backyard Quiz on NITV which was commissioned for a 10 episode series in 2025. Narelda has co-hosted two seasons of lifestyle show, The Brighter Side, on 10. Previously, Narelda co-hosted Sydney Mardi Gras with SBS from 2019-2021 and has appeared on The Project, Insiders, Q+A and The Drum. Narelda is a sought-after MC, moderator and speaker, appearing on stages and airwaves across Australia with Prime Ministers, international leaders and humanitarian advocates. In 2023, Narelda presented a special episode of ABC's Compass titled 'Come Together', appeared in the award-winning documentary 'Dark Emu', and had roles in award-winning Australian drama 'Safe Home' and 'Total Control'. Narelda co-hosted the successful podcast ‘456 Club’ and featured on many others.
In November 2025, Narelda and her wife Karina published satirical adult picture book 'If Queers Weren't Meant to Have Kids...', which celebrates rainbow families while poking fun at homophobic trolls.
Narelda is passionate about promoting equality, diversity and inclusion and has served on the advisory board of the National Justice Projectand Football Australia’s National Indigenous Advisory Group. Narelda is a proud patron of The Westerman Jilya Institute, the inaugural patron of Rainbow Futures WA, and an ambassador for The Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation, Motor Neurone Disease Association WA, WA Aboriginal Leadership Institute, The Pinnacle Foundation and Deadly Science. Narelda was a Rainbow Champion for Sydney World Pride 2023 and a Legacy ‘23 Ambassador for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
